What coffee should I buy for espresso / filter / French press?

For espresso:

Look for coffees with balanced acidity, good sweetness, and structure. Flavour notes like chocolate, caramel, nuts, or stone fruit tend to work well. These coffees are typically versatile and forgiving while dialing in.

For filter brewing (pour over, batch brew, AeroPress, etc):

Single-origin coffees with brighter acidity and clarity often shine here. Expect fruit-forward, floral, or tea-like profiles that highlight origin character and nuance.

For French press:

Coffees with a rounder, fuller body tend to perform best. Look for tasting notes like chocolatey, nutty, or rich fruit, which hold up well in immersion-style brewing.

Our coffees are all roasted light to medium, so most can be brewed across multiple methods. If you’re unsure where to start, we recommend choosing based on flavour preferences first, rather than the brew method alone.
