Why are duties now charged automatically?

Duties are now calculated and collected automatically at checkout to make the delivery process smoother and more predictable.

Previously, duties or taxes (when applicable) were often charged by the courier at delivery. Collecting them upfront helps avoid surprise fees, delivery delays, or parcels being held while payment is requested. Please note that customs assessments are ultimately determined by the destination country’s customs authority and the courier. While automatic collection covers most situations, rare exceptions or delays can still occur.
