- Stop the shot at a smaller output weight
- Grind finer
- Use a larger input weight
To make your espresso weaker:
- Let the shot run to a larger output weight
- Grind coarser
- Use a smaller input weight
Changing Extraction
If your shot is tasting salty or too sour:
- Let the shot run to a larger output weight
- Grind finer
- Use a smaller input weight
If your shot is tasting bitter and dry:
- Stop the shot at a smaller output weight
- Grind coarser
- Use a larger input weight
